Sharpie Shiplap Walls....????

Ok Ya'll, you know how much we love shiplap but how crazy is this DIY project?! These ladies are using sharpies and wall lasers for straight lines to create this look!We kind of dig it! What do you think? Some are just painting white walls and using black sharpie and others are painting grey walls with a white wash over the whole thing to create a weathered look. This is such an interesting alternative to the actual shiplap so when your tastes change, you just paint over it instead of taking down a whole lot of wood.

Sharpie Shiplap Walls....????

Make your home a happy place that guests want to walk into. Here is a basic front door with hardly any room to decorate but we managed to add a few touches to create a great impression. But don't stop there, your entryway/foyer is the spot where guests linger as they say their hellos and goodbyes, drop off food and pop in unexpectedly. See how we gave this small entry just a few items to warm up the space for this sweet family.

Repurposing for Staging and Design

Sharpie Shiplap Walls....????

We love staging rooms for our clients! It's the most gratifying way to decorate. We sometimes have multiple stagings in a day! This requires a lot of creativity and out-of-the-box thinking. Tight budgets often mean that we need to use what the client has on hand to prepare a home for the market or complete the finishing touches on a room redesign project. Creative re-purposing is the name of the game! We love to use unusual items as trays! We use mirrors, bulletin boards, glass picture frames, old windows and even framed art! Here are some great examples of our creative re-purposing and a couple from around the blogosphere that you can use in your own home.

Sharpie Shiplap Walls....????

Continued post about our fabulous living room project.....We sourced all our local retailers in town to pull this look together. This couple had some amazing antiques and treasures from all over the world! It was so fun to mix the old with the new to create this "Texas Inspired" space. They also had a media cabinet that needed a face lift. They were tired of seeing all their electronics and wires so we came up with a solution they love. We used wire mesh to disguise the inner media workings and it's such a great look! There are several options when it comes to using mesh in custom cabinets. Mixed metals, gold, silver, chicken wire. Whatever your style, it's a great look that we can ...
